- describe how the Equality Act 2010 protects individuals from discrimination, harassment and victimisation for nine specific protected characteristics.
- recognise these nine protected characteristics and understand how to promote equality of opportunity and inclusion.
- define what is meant by discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, bullying and victimisation.
- recognise where personal changes to behaviour can be made in order to prevent discrimination and ensure everyone feels respected, valued and included.
- explain the responsibilities of all employees, employers, managers and HR/People professionals in regards to ensuring equality and inclusion in policies, procedures and practices.
